Deidra (Outdoors) Johnson

My fishin’ adventures began with freshwater fishing as a little girl growing up in Missouri, and exploded into the saltwater realm when I moved to Florida after college. I have also experienced The Carolinas’, Florida Keys, Louisiana, Pacific Guatemala and Cabo Mexico fisheries. Whether Sightfishin’, Wadin’, Trollin’, Bowfishin’, Scallopin’, Live/Dead Baitin’ or Handlinin’ -- I love to get after it on the water. I especially enjoy cleaning the catch! I have over 40 species of fish checked off the bucket list with many more to target! I have a special place in my heart for targeting, handling and releasing big sharks!

Fusing my Marketing degree with fishing passion, the career door first opened for me as a Spokesmodel representing Outdoors Industry brands & organizations at tradeshows/ events/ on-line/ video and print marketing initiatives. While working the 2010 Bass Pro Spring Classic in SW FL, I found my other half, Capt. Bo Johnson, who owned his own charter biz, Tenacity Guide Service. I came on board to assist in running the boat, riggin’ rods, catchin’ bait, baiting hooks, entertaining clients; and handling the Office | Marketing Manager duties, running our FacebookPage, Instagram, Website and YouTube Channel. I have went on to fish many tournaments, film TV shows, be featured in magazine publications, serve as Pro-Staff for brands, engage in philanthropic events, work trade shows, give radio interviews, and shoot several videos/ photos for online content and calendars.

I married my Captain in 2015 and we brought another little angler into the world in 2016. Our now 3r old boy has been on the boat since 6 weeks old, and has amassed quite a bucket list of catches himself. I now wear the hat as mama angler in charge of all our charter biz behind-the-scenes fruitfulness while raising our son & pursuing fishing adventures and industry opportunities as best as can be juggled.
